Ten years of partying. Ten years of curating. Ten years of event throwing.

It’s a milestone anniversary for any event collective, especially in the ever-changing landscape of New York City’s party scene.

It’s Teksupport’s 10th anniversary, dubbed Teksupport X.

The underground event brand, helmed by founder Rob Toma, has been integral in helping shape New York City’s nightlife. Today, the premier party people announced the launch of its anniversary celebration.

The programming launches December 27 at TCE Present’s new venue, Brooklyn Storehouse. The first event for the celebratory milestone kicks off with a stellar lineup show: Drumcode Records founder Adam Beyer, Italian techno pioneer Ilario Alicante spinning back-to-back with SCI+TEC imprint head Dubfire, New York City tastemaker Avision, MOOD Records label boss Nicole Moudaber and Brooklyn’s Helang. The following day, renowned sound designer duo Gorgon City, Trick label founder Patrick Topping, deep house sonic selector Nora En Pure and New York City’s Alan Nieves get behind the decks. The third night boasts a rare live performance from top talent Mr. G, acclaimed artist Kaytranada, Beijing-born Vivian Wang and two back-to-back sets set to stun: Moodymann back-to-back Carl Craig and Âme back-to-back Trikk.

Looking to start the party on New Year’s morning? New York City native Victor Calderone will step into the booth at Sony Hall. Closing out the anniversary celebration on New Year’s Day is a lineup of back-to-backs slated to keep the party going: Hot Since 82 back-to-back Ben Sterling, Joseph Capriati back-to-back Loco Dice, Prospa back-to-back Mink, Rossi back-to-back Salome le Chat and The Fellas back-to-back Ice Thompson.

Teksupport X will continue into 2025 and see the brand expanding into new formats in both digital and in-real-life programming.

“Teksupport began as a passion-driven project, rooted in my desire to make house and techno more palpable in New York City and across the United States,” Toma says. “Born and raised in Brooklyn, I’ve witnessed these genres evolve from niche subcultures into vibrant global phenomena. Over the past decade, Teksupport has been at the forefront of this transformation, crafting irreplaceable experiences and cultivating a unique community. Our pioneering use of unconventional venues, consistent production standards and introduction of emerging talent, iconic artists and unique brands into the market has played a pivotal role in positioning [New York City] as a global epicenter for the genres. Teksupport X is about celebrating our roots while embracing the future of electronic music and culture—and just like that, it’s been ten years, and anything is possible.”

Beyond its talent-buying success, best seen in the Teksupport X events, the Brooklyn-based company is credited with bringing some of Europe’s most major dance music brands to the United States for the first time. In 2014, Toma signed an exclusive partnership to bring Germany’s Time Warp to New York City for its United States debut, also marking Ricardo Villalobos, an esteemed Chilean-German producer, spinning his first show ever in the Big Apple. Then, in 2016, iconic Ibiza institution CircoLoco made its first appearance in the United States in partnership with Teksupport. Toma is also the exclusive U.S. partner for CircoLoco, which now throws editions across the country, and he helped launch CircoLoco Records with Rockstar Games, forming the video game giant’s first-ever music label. This year, Toma did it once again with DGTL by throwing the inaugural U.S. party of the Dutch festival in New York City and Los Angeles.

While the event collective is best known for its house and techno shows, it also throws events for other music genres and various types of industries, helping to influence cultural moments in many spaces. The curation company hosted Skepta during New York Fashion Week and Virgil Abloh’s performance alongside Kid Cudi at CircoLoco Halloween. Additionally, the collective is known for fusing club culture, high fashion and technology at its events, such as presenting Ralph Lauren’s 2023 New York Fashion Week show—the largest runway show in the week’s history—Dixon’s high-art Transmoderna experience, Raisa Vanessa’s New York Fashion Week runway-to-rave party and a photo exhibit by Sven Marquardt—the bouncer of one of the world’s most iconic clubs, Berghain, located in dance music’s mecca, Berlin. Teksupport being recognized by numerous industries and hosting their respective events proves its multifaceted capabilities.

When it comes to the fashion aspect, Toma says the collective uses non-traditional venues located in Manhattan for New York Fashion Week, noting that he works with different fashion partners to assist with elevating the brands. Past locations have included Capitale, a former bank, and The Glasshouse, which boasts 360-degree views of New York City and New Jersey. On the technology side, Teksupport hosted events for companies within the world of NFTs when blockchain-based tokens were still popular.

Perhaps the most important of the three is pushing club culture. Toma says Teksupport does this by using different types of locations in New York, particularly in Brooklyn. An example is Brooklyn Navy Yard, which has become, what some might argue, a pillar in the world of warehouse parties as the space provides a European and industrial vibe. Teksupport can host multiple shows there simultaneously since the location features three hangers. Recently, Teksupport claimed one of the hangers and dubbed it Brooklyn Storehouse.

Teksupport was founded in 2009 during Miami’s Winter Music Conference. He started by hosting a few shows during the conference weekend, which coincides yearly with Miami Music Week and Ultra Music Festival, as it is known to draw in music lovers from around the U.S. and the globe. Toma says his idea was to catch as many people flying in as possible. His ability to do so during the short period that is Miami Music Week surely helped Teksupport grow into what it is today, which is one of the biggest event collectives in New York City.

As one of the city’s music industry behemoths, Teksupport stands out among the rest with its dedication to spotlighting the sounds of the underground, delivering the European rave experience, curating spectacular shows for various industries, throwing parties in seldom-used spaces and staying true to its ethos of providing a mecca for house and techno in New York and beyond.

Indeed, Teksupport is among the best at throwing a proper party, and Teksupport X will only further exemplify that.
